KESTAS STOSKUS PROFILE

Kestas Stoskus was born in 1970. He started attending horse riding lessons at Kaunas Marva Sports School in 1980. For 10 years he was part of the Lithuanian Eventing Team. Kestas competed as a show jumper from 1980 to 1985. From 1986 to 1989 he was a member of the Lithuanian Juniors-Youth-Adult Equestrian Eventing Team. Within this period he achieved perfect results, and on October 15, 1987 the USSR Sports Committee conferred him a title of Master of Sport.

While in the USSR Kestas showed to Grand Prix level in show jumping and evented to advanced level. He was a member of the USSR Young Riders Team for two years and placed second in the individual ranking and won Team Champion. This achievement qualified Kestas for the European Young Riders Championship for two years.

In Germany (1998-2000) he continued his training in show jumping and eventing and added dressage to his qualifications. A move in 2000 brought Kestas to the United States where he continued training, competing, and has worked hard to obtain his level of prestige.
